Unnecessarily slowing the story pace.
How many episodes you are going to take just to finish a damn fight where everyone is going to die except some major characters. They still haven't entered in the God Bruial Abyss. Just start the main thing and get over with it. Plus Tan Yun still hasn't breakthrough into the next realm.

If I recall correctly from the novel, Tan Yun actually kills hundreds or maybe even thousands of them between his god tier sword formation and his psychic skills to temporarily mind control enemies with a less powerful mind. I remember there were more than a few battles where he just looked at a group of dozens or at one point hundreds of enemies made them all fight the ones not under mind control or just slit their own throats!

So they just not only slow down the pace but also skipped the interesting part🤦‍♀️😅.

Its just that these 3D computer animated donghua are (almost always) extremely limited as to the number of toons or avatars they can produce on screen at any given moment. So, sometimes what is supposed to be a battle of dozens or hundreds or even thousands of people is reduced to around 6 or 8 tops.

it could go a little faster, but i kinda think fleshing out fights a bit makes more interesting than just synopsis of one hit kills....

I will agree but man atleast they should try to make it a bit more interesting if they want to drag a fighting scene.
Do u watch Martial Master? If yes then u would have known that their story pace is also slow but they make the things so interesting to watch that u just don't even feel the episode is about to end.

Not in that way at all. Tan Yun is the MC and all this flashing around switching to different scenes whilst people are just standing looking at one another is annoying. Do they stare at each other for all that time whilst someone else is fighting in the next scene?🤣 change up in the middle of the fight or whilst they chasing. Give a background story. I forgot half of these people already.
